What: Driving Tour through Colorado National Monument and Lunch

Note: This tour will be limited to 15 Porsches
Rim Rock Drive is one of the prettiest roads in Colorado; the scenic drive takes travelers 23 miles along the perimeter of Colorado National Monument. The road travels to the Saddlehorn Visitor Center and has dozens of lookouts. The whole drive takes about 45-60 minutes, without stopping.
Entrance Pass: You will need to possess or pre-purchase an entrance pass (do not attempt to purchase at the gate to facilitate the group passage into the park.)

Starting location: Colorado Welcome Center at Fruita (340 Hwy. 340, Fruita, 81521)
Participant Check In Time: 8:30 am
09:00 — Driver’s meeting (Mandatory) at Colorado Welcome Center at Fruita
09:10 — Depart Welcome Center and drive to Saddlehorn Visitor Center
09:25 — Arrive at Saddlehorn Visitor Center
09:30 — Intro to the Monument led by retired geologist and Interpretive Ranger, Don Regan. Be sure to pick up a copy of the site bulletin "Rim Rock Drive geology" from Don to guide your drive.
10:30 — You will be allotted 2.5 hours to drive the 23-mile road, Rim Rock Drive, a beautiful scenic drive at Colorado National Monument. Rim Rock Drive winds along the Colorado Plateau, offering stunning views of sculpted sandstone at every turn. There are nineteen signed viewpoints along the drive, offering visitors beautiful viewpoints of the different canyons. There are 3 bathroom options along the drive.
1:00 — Departing Colorado National Monument via the East entrance on Monument Road.
1:15 — Arrive at Ristorante Pantuso (421 Brach Drive, Grand Junction, 81507)
